In early 2008 HGI developed and introduced a small diesel suited for Plant Hire use. At only 2.6kVA this diesel set answered the problem of a small output but which was EU Noise Compliant. Now in the midst of the recession, HGI are launching a NEW 6kVA diesel set, the SKD60.
This is a 6kVA EU noise compliant generator at an economic price, which is narrow enough to go through doorways. Supplied complete with a fully kitted out facia panel, containing plenty of sockets, circuit breakers, RCD's, this set has a good sized metal fuel tank, solid axles, large diameter solid wheels and is the easiest of models to service.
The ubiquitous 6kVA diesel, is a generator no hire company can do without, but yet it is often difficult to sustain a good return from its hire, particularly now that business is tight.
However the new SKD60 promises a good rental return, with high levels of reliability, high perceived value and a unique air management system, which ensures cool running whatever the summer temperatures.
The options are equally good: CTE for rail work or for demanding customers - a TIN12 spec version. It can be manually or automatically operated AMF. has axles and prods which unbolt to enable the set to be used like a skid, and a completely detachable Lighting Tower option.
