HGI introduced the first purpose designed and built Welfare cabin generator. While other suppliers made do with the usual 'site gen' HGI offered a special type of generator made to perform reliably inside a cabin. Much thought was given to performance, ease of servicing, economical use, long run fuel tanks, and a host of other innovative ideas.

But and it's a big but, the demand has moved from long cabins to compact more mobile units. Reducing the weight and size of the generator becomes even more important. The sets footprint, the floor area taken up by the set, needs to be especially compact as the set often shares one end of a cabin with a 4 foot toilet module.

HGI will soon launch its vertical configuration Compact Welf-Air generator. With a footprint of just 0.62 square meters but an electrical output of 8 KVA, the CW-A will make alot of difference to those mobile cabins.
