An affordable solution to domestic power cuts was launched at Ecobuild 2011
On display at the Harrington Generators stand was a unique and intelligent LPG powered Standby Home Generator which automatically starts on detection of a utility power cut. HGI are the sole importer and distributor of this Briggs and Stratton manufactured generator .
The HSU125 generator is ideal for homes which experience frequent power cuts, often in rural or semi-rural locations. It is designed to operate without the need to flick a switch.
.Conventional generator systems will try to power everything that was running when the power failed. This means you have to buy a very large machine based on the “worst-case” scenario or alternatively, the generator supply will trip if it’s overloaded when it comes on stream. The HSU 125 supplies 12.5kW and avoids this with its intelligent, load-sensing priority system. The generator constantly monitors your incoming mains supply, watching for a failure.
Within seconds of the power failing, the system will recognise the outage and signal for the set to start. The generator will immediately power the Priority circuits and electrical equipment needed ,(lighting ,heating, security systems ect) and will omit the nonessential electrical items.
Bryan Harris, Managing Director of HGI says: “constant power to domestic homes and businesses is absolutely essential to the way we live in the 21st century;
With reduced running costs and 1/10th the carbon footprint of conventional fossil fuelled alternatives this product takes away another stress and allows a family to keep going”
